How to Open DOS

Using the Run Command

You can quickly open the DOS command prompt using the Run dialog:

1. Press Windows + R on your keyboard.
2. Type cmd in the Run box.
3. Press Enter, and the command prompt will open.

Using the Start Menu

You can also open DOS through the Start menu:

1. Click on the Start button.
2. Type cmd in the search box.
3. Click on Command Prompt from the search results.

Using Windows Explorer

You can open DOS from any folder in Windows Explorer:

1. Open any folder in Windows Explorer.
2. Hold Shift and right-click inside the folder.
3. Select Open command window here.
